The Assignment Create designs for front cover, spine and back cover, including title treatment and artwork. Produce 3 full-color illustrations for interior, plus 40 line drawings and caricatures. Design interior layout of
342-page book, including front matter, custom callouts and section design.
The Creative The author and I worked together in deciding where to add illustrations throughout the book, as well as which text to highlight in the callouts. In order to start every new chapter on a right-facing page, these elements were strategically sized and placed. The style and pacing of the visuals also reflected the light-hearted tone of the writing.

The Assignment Create cover design and artwork, 9 title page illustrations, design interior layout of 108-page book, and assist author through self-publishing process.
The Creative The author requested one full color image for each story, along with several one-color spot images as needed. In order to keep the book colorful and engaging, I also took elements of the full color art and used them again on various interior pages.
